We aim at exploring the techniques behind various writing styles, including stories, letters, argumentative essays, speeches and poetries. The course will also equip students with more vocabulary that is essential for students to achieve a higher level of writing.

Time Slots

Starts from 13/7 to 4/8 on Tuesdays and Fridays.

We aim to help students acquire the 5 essential writing elements: content, grammar, organization, sentence structure and vocabulary.

通識科對很多學生及家長來說都是一個惡夢，因為科目並不設特定的範圍，卻更需要以學生的思維技巧來分高下。有人說，通識要考得好，只需要多看報紙、多吸收時事。事實上，邏輯思維與討論、資料搜集與分析、多角度思考等等，都是通識科的核心考核範圍，而這些技巧都是能夠透過訓練增強的。透過課程，我們旨在教導學生應付通識科的思考模式與答題技巧，令學生學會對情況作出合情合理的批判。導師也會以深入淺出的方式，讓學生了解不同範疇的背景資料，配以小組討論、報告及辯論等活動，大大增強學生考獲優良成績的本錢。小班教學，配以優良師資，是我們所提供的課程的兩大優勢，絕對是信心保證。

We have realized that students nowadays find it difficult to apply their grammatical knowledge onto writings. They therefore fail to express their ideas clearly, eventually getting frustrated. Through this course, we aim at exploring the techniques behind various writing styles, including descriptive writings, practical writings, argumentative essays and speeches. More importantly, through our writing-based training we will also help students present their ideas with better grammar. The course will also equip students with more vocabulary that is essential for students to achieve a higher level of writing.
